Obama, Wright, and The Trumpet
Jeremiah Wright’s ‘Trumpet’ by Stanley Kurtz of the Weekly Standard informs readers that Trinity Church’s church newsletter (created by Wright) entitled ‘Trumpet’ shows that Reverend Wright based the church’s doctrine around his extreme leftist and Anti-American beliefs. Thus questioning how it’s possible that Senator Obama or any attendee could claim ignorance of the radical teachings of the church.
To the question of the moment–What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?–I answer, Obama knew everything, and he’s known it for ages. Far from succumbing to surprise and shock after Jeremiah Wright’s disastrous performance at the National Press Club, Barack Obama must have long been aware of his pastor’s political radicalism. A careful reading of nearly a year’s worth of Trumpet Newsmagazine, Wright’s glossy national “lifestyle magazine for the socially conscious,” makes it next to impossible to conclude otherwise.
Wright founded Trumpet Newsmagazine in 1982 as a “church newspaper”–primarily for his own congregation, one gathers–to “preach a message of social justice to those who might not hear it in worship service.” So Obama’s presence at sermons is not the only measure of his knowledge of Wright’s views. Glance through even a single issue of Trumpet, and Wright’s radical politics are everywhere–in the pictures, the headlines, the highlighted quotations, and above all in the articles themselves. It seems inconceivable that, in 20 years, Obama would never have picked up a copy of Trumpet. In fact, Obama himself graced the cover at least once.
Even some of Wright’s famed “good works,” and his moving “Audacity to Hope” sermon, are placed in a disturbing new light by a reading of Trumpet.
Reverend Wright further muddies the water by stating that he sees no line between religion and politics…
[T]here was no separation Biblically and historically and there is no separation contemporaneously between ‘religion and politics.’ . . . The Word of God has everything to do with racism, sexism, militarism, social justice and the world in which we live daily.
Wright views the United States as a criminal nation. Here is a typical passage: “Do you see God as a God who approves of Americans taking other people’s countries? Taking other people’s women? Raping teenage girls and calling it love (as in Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings)?” Anyone who does think this way, Wright suggests, should revise his notion of God. Implicitly drawing on Marxist “dependency theory,” Wright blames Africa’s troubles on capitalist exploitation by the West, and also on inadequate American aid: “Some analysts would go so far as to even call what [the United States, the G-8, and multinational corporations] are doing [in Africa] genocide!”

There’s no doubt in my mind that Obama sat in that church with his wife, listened to the Rev Wright and believed every word that he said. The problem is that not enough people care. No outrage! A half African American, Obama chose to be all black. Pandered to the black community and in return got 90% of their vote…no questions asked (as he and Michelle knew it would be, and Hillary found out the hard way). The far left wing of the Democratic Party recognized Obama’s gift for oratory and gave him substantial backing. Never mind that the words spoken are lies and carefully crafted for political expediency. Nobody cares. Obama says he has put all of this behind him. His campaign strategists said it was time to disavow Rev Wright, and in a public display of shock and horror at Wright’s antics, he does. Mission accomplished. Before talking about issues, we must consider the character of the man who wants to be President.

I agree. And must confess I am flabbergasted regarding the flatness voters handles Obamas “mishaps” , and flat out lies. But ultimately that’s not the issue. The bigger question is how to expose this impostor and chameleon before it’s too late. Because I am dead bone certain that this man will never
deliver any change. Ever.

How many hundreds of thousands of voters in the North Carolina primary had already mailed in their absentee ballots for Senator Obama before Reverend Wright flooded the airwaves with his latest minstrel show? I have been unable to find any analysis of this but, surely the Democratic superdelegates who consider whether the candidate’s association with the man would harm him in the general election have considered this math, too!

I believe there were 2 reasons for BO attending Trinity; Michelle and the large black constituency. After all, if a church is good enough for Oprah…although she knows where her bread is buttered (often, by all us “white” folk) and she left.
What I still fail to understand, is how any church or minister can be so blatantly political in their sermons and teachings, and not be taxed? I really don’t care what Wright says, believes, etc. but if any minister is going to use their pulpit to preach their pseudo religious politics, then by God, slap a tax on their butts.
BO simply thought this church (the largest AA church in the Chicago area) was good for him politically. While he has had to pay a price for this networking, he made great strides in his homestate by the connections he formed from the church. I believe there is still a price to pay for BO, and I will unapologetically take great pleasure in watching him pay it.

Simply, Barry and Michelle are a “Trojan horse”. They have been presented to Dem voters at the exact time that these voters are the least likely to care who it is that they are voting into office. They hate GWB so intensely, that they don’t even need to question or scrutinize a candidate, just put them in the White House and that’s that. The man and his wife are racist, anti-semite, socialists, who really do believe that America is the great Satan (as Iran and Al-Qaeda thinks we are) and they believe that they are exactly the “change” that they are waiting for…..Isn’t that special.
